Delete your Kalimo account

This page explains how to delete your account in the Kalimo app and all your children's data.

In the app

1. On the "Who is reading?" screen, tap the "Parent area" card, then enter your account password.
2. At the bottom of the parent area, tap "Delete my account".
3. Confirm with "Delete".

Deletion is immediate.

Without the app

Enter your account's email address and send the request.

Before deleting the account, we write to that address to check that the account is yours: just reply to our message. We write again once the deletion is done. The address sent with this form is erased as soon as the request is handled.

You can also write to [email protected] from your account's email address, with the subject "Delete my account".

What is deleted

Everything, for good:

• your email address, first name, last name, phone number and password;
• your children's profiles and everything attached to them: progress, favourites, coins, parrot, misread words, reading accuracy, listening time;
• the phones registered for notifications, and the reminder log.

You are signed out on all your phones.

What is kept

• If a team member acted on your account, including to delete it at your request, the console's log keeps the account's internal identifier, which no longer leads to your address, as a record of what the team did.
• If you wrote to us, your email stays in our support mailbox.
• If a server backup was made before the deletion, it may still hold your data for as long as it is kept.

No retention period is set yet for these three.
